My friend got hers Sunday. She said a little sore the next day like a flu shot but that was it.

I know hospital workers that have got it. All well with them. They were all warned awhile ago they would be required to have it when available to them (unless meeting certain circumstances). No fuss in their facilities.

@sandman : I'll get it after you get yours because we have the same allergic reaction, lmao. If you don't react I'll know Moderna is safe

We got it at 4:30 PM today. Then got take out from Marsalas. No issues. Hoping maybe I'll grown some hair on my head...... :-)12/30/2020 update .... no new hair follicles yet.

My parents both got theirs this morning. Have to get a 2nd in 21 days, then lay low for 10-14 days? This was the Pfizer vaccine. They seem fine tonight. I'm a little worried. Idk why. I'm sure they're getting sick of me calling/texting them all day. New vaccines just worry me.

@book73 : How did you qualify? Did they call you? I'm over 65 and hoping I can receive a vaccine soon.

My niece is a nurse in Decatur and she got hers yesterday or day before, I can't remember. She's pushing getting it, we are all going to see what happens to her.

@ParksideRes : No idea. That's just what their doctor suggested. I talked to them a few minutes ago. My mom said they both felt kind of crummy last night (slight headaches and super tired for a few hours), but tonight, they feel totally back to normal. Still have to wear masks in public, but they're not so scared anymore. ❤

Probably suggested by doctors since it takes awhile for the body to build that immunity.
I'm guessing a lot of people will want to go out on the town kicking up their heels too soon!, Lol.
Body will be busy building that immunity which could weaken it for a few days until the antibodies are in full force.@book73 : So exciting! I imagine there are a lot of emotions getting the vaccine. My mom cannot wait to get hers!

So if I show up at Memorial Hermann I can get the shot? I'm in the 1B category.

Just remember even the flu only works a third/half of the time.
