Got up, walked dog, hung out with grand all morning now looking at new cars with daughter

@TexanFan1 : Hey, I'm sorry that brought back some memories.St. Valentine's is an invention of Hershey's and Hallmark to sell us crap we don't need and make us fat. We all know of its bloody origins, with some dude named Valentine killed on Feb 14 (actually it was 2 dudes) and the Catholic Church's efforts to replace the pagan Lupercalia festival with something more Christian-like. Anyway, stay tuned.

@sandman : no worries. It's life. I'm good. Like I said we never really celebrated it when he was alive. Exchanged cards mainly. I just use it as an excuse to buy me something nice each year. 🤣🤣🤣

@Cbear : Taking the dog to the vet and doing some cleaning. Also went out for a walk today it was nice out.

@Weathergirl5 : YES! I took my girl for a walk, then she took a nap when we returned. LOL! It was so nice outside!

@TexanFan1 : Same here.. well, hubs didn't pass away right before Vday but our anniversary was Feb 10 so that always trumped that over commercialized couples/love/barf day. This year would've marked 20 years of marriage. Wow.. just thought about that..

@brightlights : Good for you! Everyone needs to rest and recharge or else you can't move forward.

@DaycareMom : So sorry for you loss. I lost my spouse in April 2015 so it will be 6 years for me.

@TexanFan1 : It was. I hope today is similar!

@Cbear : I lost my hubby in 2010. So I'm coming up on 11 yrs this Feb. They say time heals. I don't believe that. It is just different each year. You learn how to deal with the loss in different ways over the years.

@TexanFan1 : Yes of course.....we are forever changed. I am not sure how old you are but, I am thankful in the sense that I lost my husband when I was young enough to learn how to handle things on my own like mow the lawn, pool care. I feel sorry for those who are in like their 70's who may have an even harder time. Take care.

@Cbear : we were both 42 when he passed away. Some people say I was a young widow. Yes, I have learned how to live on my own. I enjoy it now.

@TexanFan1 : So glad for you. I was just barely 54 and he was 52 when he passed. As I said, we should look at it as "fortunate enough to be young still and healthy".
