When I woke up from the procedure, I was extremely talkative LOL and hungry. I was so sad that I couldn't go straight to eating a whole enchilada dinner that night.

@nikkiole : I anticipate her to be talking and talking and talking.

ICECREAM!!! of course.

any cold drinks to keep the mouth could but not sodas or anything acidic. popsicles, freezepops, slushies etc.

Foods: mashed potatoes, or sweet potatos, well cooked beans (soft) without rice. Rice seems to like to find its way back to where you don't want it. sweet peas. Canned carrots. etc.

Well chopped pulled pork or and BBQ is OK as long as the meat is tender. You may need to chop it even finer than you get it.

Anything made with loose ground meat. Taco meat, Burger Helpers, beef stew,

Oatmeal, eggs and grits. No beacon... Emoticon

@Sammee : Awwww ................ your poor baby! Mine were that way too, but it's been so long ago. I just remember ice packs, lots of broth, applesauce, and stuff like that. Oh, and no sucking on straws and always rinse out well after eating.

@Sammee : My 2 loved (day after) mashed potatoes and gravy, flan, pudding, jello and soup.

They were told to take the pain meds as ordered. Don't wait for pain to start. Dd was 15-16 and Ds just had his removed (impacted) at 28.

Y'all are so bad and I blame the Interweb and you tube. Ya I'm a grump, but that's because I had mine pulled in the dentist chair with nothing but Xylocane in the gums. Made me a better person it did. Still got them too, in a bottle in my top dresser drawer. Want to see em......

My baby is getting her wisdom teeth yanked this week. Does anybody have tips or words of advice for making her recovery more comfy? It's been waaaaaaaay too long since I had mine out to remember how bad I felt afterwards, how long recovery lasted, what felt good to eat, etc.

@Sammee : Milkshakes. That's all she needs. Have her rinse with mouthwash often and do what Dr. says to do. I ate a steak dinner with salad and all right after one of mine was removed. Don't let her do that even if she is as tough as me. I had a tomato seed buried in it for over 10 years. It drove me nuts till I finally sucked it out.

@Smokeybear : You forgot to add about the rusty pliers that the barber used to pull them. Emoticon

@Sammee :

Lots of sympathy, hugs, hair stroking and drugs!!!

Agree with the above. Stay ahead of the pain so there's no wait time.

Praying your sweet girl recovers God speed. ❤️❤️❤️

Ps, you might wanna dip into some old pain pills from your past, nothing worse than watching your babies suffer. Hang in there. Emoticon
