Went to bed last night, it was 81 in the house. This morning when I left for work it was 84. By the time the A/C was fixed at noon it was 89 degrees inside. It's now down to 78. The hottest day of the year so far, go figure. The wife, bless her heart, took it in stride. I had the A/C serviced last month and signed up for the service contract so got priority on repairs. Best move ever......
I don't know how your wife made it in that kind of heat . If that happened to us hubby would have come home seeing me in the car with AC on high reading listening to the radio & snacking .

@bbk : We both had hot moments today. I had to deliver a piece of junk car to an auction house out 290. No a/c and the windows wouldn't go down. It actually felt cold when I got out of it on arrival, so it must have been well over 100 inside while driving. Glad it was early in the day.....
@Smokeybear : We recently went through that. It was 4 days before the guy could come out. We hooked up a window unit to the back patio and no one could see it. That really helped us. The rest of the house was 85. I feel for you.

@CougarsRock : I wouldn't care if the HOA or neighbors could see it. It would be long gone before the deed restriction violation letter was even mailed.
We had AC work done on Wednesday, which was also my birthday. Lol After several hours with ceiling and tower fans only, the work was done. As the house started cooling down from 89 to79 and everyone feeing comfortable, BOOM, the power went out. It was out for 5 hours. Fortunately, we had a generator and toggled between running the AC or lights, fans and TV. Whew, what a birthday. I requested a Do-over.
