That is why I stay home, I do not want to drive through the crap people leave out! Several years ago I was at a NYE singles party and when we all started leaving , one drove through some crap and it blew their tire.

Just be glad you didn't wake up to a burned down house.
Completely irresponsible to pop high flying fireworks around homes so close together.
I wish there was a solution beyond getting annexed. The best years are the ones with a drought when the sale of fireworks is banned!

My street did get busy last night, but everyone was out this morning cleaning their mess up.

Besides empty boxes piled neatly by the curb, I didn't see any messes. It's a bummer not all neighbors are so considerate.

Time to move and build a fortress around your new place. (Or at least it sometimes feels that way).

@LeverageShowFan : already on it. Waiting on the new bullet proof gun turrets to come in Then all that's left is stringing the razor wire and I'll be pretty much set! Emoticon

We did ours between 9:00-10:00 p.m., cleaned all debris up and back inside by 10:15 p.m., here in Kings River but we didn't have any in our yard here. It sucks for people/neighbors to be inconsiderate. So thankful our neighbors clean up their own stuff on ours an neighboring streets.

@BaBaLou : I understand your frustration and has a yard full this morning to pick up. Unfortunately there's just no way to control where it lands.

We clean ours immediately after but come on folks, kids are kids. Let them have their two times a year. We still have a great neighborhood.

Besides. Everyone has been cooped up.

@WeveBecomeEastHouston : The majority of the debris was the packaging for the several hundred fire crackers that they just lit the fuse and the whole thing blew itself to bits. I've done this before but always cleaned it up before we went inside.

No issues. We clean our own that night and finish in the morning when we can see everything that we missed.
