I shot a gun.

Yes your local gun-not-loving ADC poster shot a gun last week. Actually multiple guns. I kinda liked it! But it was also scary and powerful. And I don't think I could point one at a living thing.

I shot a 9mm, a 45, and I forget the name of the long gun.

I'm considering signing up for a training course next.

@HumbleGirl : You go girl! I can recommend a great local area instructor if you are interested. And if personal security is on your mind while stepping into this venture of shooting a firearm ... think of this, what if that "living thing" wants to take your life? Yours, or theirs? With training and practice, your fear with go away and you will gain confidence and realize that you do know what you are doing and how to be a safe and responsible gun owner.
