@hutch5801 : I fired nice Greg because he was part of the SILENT majority! If we keep things closed.... how will your husband work? He may be one of those who are able to work from home.... I hope he is, my issue is for all those who say it's safer to stay closed, that's stating the obvious, offer a solution that works for all demographics. And I wasn't harsh, don't be a Karen! Lol

@Greg : How is this affecting you and your job/pay??
Were there changes made again today??? Changes were announced yesterday for my bunch.

My husband (Salaried) started working from home again today. Lord, help me!!! When he must go to the office/shop, ••Masks are mandatory if you can't social distance in the building and masks are mandatory on/at customers job sites. Hubs travel has stopped because of CV19. Jobs in NM and CA on hold until ....... When this started, he was in NM and was forced to drive home - no extra pay!!

My son still goes to work daily (probably will cut hrs. again and go into rotation) •• same applies.

My Dd is a Front Line Responder IR Nurse. Wears mask, gloves and gown 10-12 hrs. a day now!! If this CV19 keeps spiking, she will be pulled from her job and go into rotations on CV19 floor(s). She is not currently a floor nurse. Her husband works daily and he wears a mask when out and at work (HE BETTER) so he doesn't get exposed to CV19 -- exposing his wife - my daughter.

Since CV19, Dil now works from home 4 days a week. She is 5 months pregnant, so she wears a mask when in office. This will probably change again to WORK FROM HOME!

I have no solution to deal with this virus and having to be on site to get paid. I know when I worked at a chemical plant in shipping, someone had to be there to ship product.

3 of my 4 kids are ESSENTIAL!!!

Wishing you the best during these difficult stressful times. The good old days of hugs and hand shakes are over forever--that truly SUCKS!

Take care, stay safe, stay healthy and breathe!

BTW: Your mean harsh streak didn't last long. I know you're truly a teddy bear! Emoticon

@hutch5801 : Thanks, I've been lucky and this hasn't effected me . My business falls under the essential guidelines. Real difference is that everyone is cutting back.... mine is a luxury business not the same as an electricity provider. I know a lot of people in my business who have a lot more overhead who may not be able to keep things going. Like I said though... for now anyway, I've been blessed!

If we don't get the community spread under control, the economy and jobs will just suffer more in the long run. We are stretching the pandemic by not following science.
That will mean more closures to come. That is why it was a mistake for Texas to open too soon. Just waiting a week later, and mandating masks when we started in phase one could've slowed it down significantly.
Everyone wants this to end. But rushing things only makes it worse.
And being in denial of science makes it impossible to educate people about this.
If economy and jobs mean so much, then we need to pay attention to science for this to end anytime soon.

Oh, I love this game!!
You have lost your home, job, everything. You live in a tent. You are starving. You have nothing to eat. You have nothing to drink. You have a toddler and a wife and a 4 year old.
Do you go out of the tent to find food and water for your family or do you stay in the tent so you won't get Covid-19 and die and possibly Bring it back to your family?
Which one will be your choice????

@texas2011 : Which science? The science you agree with? Stop with the straw man argument, muh science. The scientists have contradicted themselves and disagreed with each other throughout the entire pandemic. The have censored scientist that have pushed back on the main stream narrative. The doctors you listen to are not the only doctors exploring this virus.

nikkiole : agreed, but if you were the triage nurse knowing what you know ( a middle aged white dude who got it at the Tulsa Trump rally, a teenage black kid who got it in Minneapolis at a protest, and an elderly person with underlying heart issues) and the old timer got there first by 15 mins and the other 2 arrived at the same time. You have one bed, who would you choose?

@Yep : Surprisingly enough the medical industry has issued guidance regarding that decision.

They list 5 recommendations under: Who Gets Health Resources in a Covid-19 Pandemic?

www.nejm.org/doi/ful l/10.1056/NEJMsb2005 114

They may need to prioritise those who will have the greatest chance of successful treatment.

"The top consideration is maximising benefits in terms of the number of lives saved and the number of life years saved," says Ezekiel Emanuel, chair of the Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania and co-author of the paper.

So age is the determining factor if all else is equal.

@tinytim : thanks for the education. Heres another moral dilemma for You...
Now suppose the old timer has insurance and the Trump Tulsa attendee and the blm protester do not. Who gets the room?
