My 8 year old daughter was next to me as I was scrolling FB, and saw his face and her heart just broke and wanted to know more about him. I told her the story and she was so sad. I'm glad I'm raising kids who have hearts and don't bully kids that are different.

@West-Tex : We had a dwarf in my graduating class. Our freshman year the principal gathered every student in the school to the auditorium so that Jason (child of dwarfism) could explain his condition along with all of the things people had done or said about it. He made so many friends and became quite popular because of this. When he graduated, he got a 15 minuet standing ovation. There were very few dry eyes that day. I think awareness is the only way.

@Littlegoo : I guess I do not have a soul. I mean, I know bullying is a real problem and I hate seen a kid been bullied.Regarding this been a scam or not, I don't know. Typically I don't donate to these viral go fund me stuff, unless I know the person and know what is going on. I'm now helping a friend in Canada that has cancer and a high school friend that is homeless. I know exactly how my money is been used.

@sandman : Now I am wondering if this whole thing really is a scam.....and if the 9 year old "child" is really an 18 year old actor. If that turns out to be true, that is the lowest of lows.The point of my "souless" remark, was that I couldn't understand how anyone couldn't be affected by seeing such a young child in such anguish talking about taking their own life. Bullying is so rampant these days, and kids as young as 8 (even younger) are killing themselves over it.
My gut instinct was to feel horrible for what this kid is going through, not whether it was real or fake.

The GoFundMe organizer states that all money collected that is over the amount of the Disneyland trip will be donated to anti-bullying efforts. If that is true, he won't get the excess. But honestly, she can do whatever she wants with the excess...

I don't think this is a fake story. Praying it isn't anyway.
