@ABC123 : And don't ya love those endless surveys! One of the car dealerships acted like it was my duty to do their numerous surveys. They NEED to pay me, not the other way around! Those surveys are getting just a bit out of hand! lol (I will let them know if I am not satisfied. I have never been shy about doing so).

@LeverageShowFan : I like Torchy's queso & their trash tacos but they must be soooo loaded with massive amounts of sodium. I swell up like a ballon after having them & my hands end up looking like baseball mitts!! I'm very chemically sensitive & that place has the worst effect.

@ABC123 :

Do you get that feeling after eating at Chinese buffet places? I know their food has lots of MSG.

@ABC123 : Awww ….. you poor thing! I am sorry to hear that. That cannot be comfortable at all! I don't eat at Torchy's very often. I go there with my daughter because she likes it so much. I really don't need all the sodium myself. (Most of us don't). However, my body doesn't react like yours. We opt for freshly prepared foods at home. We don't actually eat out a lot. However, Mexican food is definitely one of my vices (along with an occasional Coke … lol).

@cbp210 : We make our own Chinese food at home. I don't put msg in ours. I also use reduced sodium soy sauce. While the sodium does not bother me to the extent that it bothers poor ABC123, the msg does. However, too much sodium can't be good for anyone (particularly if one has high blood pressure concerns).

chasinghosts : Lol … I hate running around Wally World (the few times I go in there) looking for a scanner in order to scan a price that is not marked on the shelf. (And, yes, I know that a lot of people have an app on their smartphone for just this purpose, but I am one of the last hold-outs, in that, I do not want a smartphone. Mine is a flip phone … haha … laugh if ya will. I know how to run just about any operating system, but, with that knowledge, also came with the knowledge that way too much info can be stored on a smartphone. Convenience is NOT so convenient when it makes all your info so easy for others to extract. (And, no, it is NOT difficult to do so). Hmmmm ….. no thanks)!

@LeverageShowFan : Oh I agree. I have a basic smart phone, my hands are too small, and can barely hold it. I've been think about going back to a flip phone. That and I can't text on this one either.

I also use reduced sodium soy sauce.

@LeverageShowFan : We switched out soy sauce for raw coconut aminos last year. 75% less sodium, wheat/soy/gluten free with a ton of healthy amino acids. A little sweeter than soy (and not NEARLY as salty, so adjust salt in recipes accordingly), but delicious in place of soy in almost everything! Give it a try! Emoticon

@chasinghosts : I understand! Lol … Some of the smart phones are huge and my pocket is just not big enough! No offense to anybody, but I have had quite a few laughs upon seeing some of these ladies (who are sort of wide to begin with) with huge smartphones stuffed in the back of their jeans. They should ask, " Does this make my b*tt look big?"

I would think that the reason for asking is simply the paper factor. If you don't want the receipt it cuts down on the amount of paper hitting the landfill or the parking lot.

@R&Mski : Till you lose or change your phone and need one to return something. There are some old school things that are irreplaceable.

chasinghosts : Yum! The guac is delicious too. I have had it. Their contract must have ran out of their Mexican sodas. They no longer have those. They offer Coca-Cola products instead. (Sorry! Hope I didn't burst your bubble on that one)! Anyways, I like soda, but try to avoid it, because I really don't need the sugar and the diet ones are really very dangerous to one's health if one gets hooked and drinks too many. However, every so often, I just have to have a regular Coke. It's sort of like being a former smoker. Lol … sometimes one has to have one even if one tells everybody that they quit!

@LeverageShowFan : Oh they weren't Mexican sodas, they were from Vermont and delicious. Sarsaparilla, Root Beer, Vanilla Creme Soda, Doppelganger, and others. They probably cost too much to bring down here.
