My very first car, purchased with my own money, was a 1993 Pontiac GrandAm..

That thing was bright red, standard, had 93,000 when I bought it for 3 grand and the biggest POS you could imagine and I LOVED IT!!

@Weathergirl5 : Mine was a Nissan Sentra. Bought it new also but it always had problems. If I didn't drive it for 2 days it wouldn't start. Then the horn broke so when I would turn the wheel it would get stuck and people would look at me crazy. I'd throw my hands up to show them I wasn't pushing it. 😂

Mines no fun, so I'll share my brother's. 1981 Pontiac Grand Prix. 221,000 miles. Needed a quart of oil every gas fill up. And it had the neck behind the plates.

1986 Pontiac Grand Prix

Funny story behind it. My dad told me 'son, if you work yard, I'll match whatever you save to help you get a decent first vehicle.' So I busted my hump towards the end of my sophomore year and the summer before junior year balancing work and football. I gave him $1500, which in '98/99 or so could get you something pretty decent. A couple weeks later he told me 'son, I've got two great pieces of news for you. First, I got you a Grand Prix. Second, I only had to spend $1500!' I was so **** lol. I can laugh about it now, but wanted to kill him then.

Damn car was a blessing in disguise. Learned how to do just about everything on a car as that hoopty broke down every other day .

1975 Toyota Celica, yellow with a brown rag top. Stick shift. Mom didn't know how to drive one, but she made sure all the kids knew how.

I killed that thing at every stop sign in the neighborhood!! I told Dad I didn't want it. He said you can drive that, walk, or ride the bus to school. It sat in front of the house for 2 weeks. Yes, I'm still stubborn! 🤣🤣 Finally drove it. It was 10 yrs old at the time. But it lasted through high school. And everyone knew it was me coming down the street, it was so ugly!!😂
