I've got one wristband, I have to buy one for hubs and one for DD, right? That will give us access, where do we go after that? We just go and buy food? We've never been to this event before

Just remember, the more you drink or eat, it's for the kiddos! Have a great time and help kids make it!

Yes, you can buy bands for addl family members. A meal comes with each wristband. The big covered arena where the parking buses will drop you off has the free meals, addl food vendors for purchase, beer for purchase, the bands, the kids play area. Read this thread, all the info should be there but ask any more questions you may have.

@HumbleGirl - Good job getting info out to all of us. I don't know how you are managing to do this volunteer work AND the Superbowl too!

I can only handle them one at a time.

We had a lot of fun the year we went, fun for kids. We don't know anyone so we just went to the public part.

@Cabin_Mama
Awesome! The public part is really boosted this year and is all in one place, under the shelter of the Arena. We are really trying to make the experience even more awesome for all attendees.

So you can't check out the booths without an invite?
What do the booths have?

What do the booths have?

@TXNS_fan :

Like most cook offs the booths are the private cook off team areas and they have various things depending on what the team pulls together - smokers/bbq pits/cooker trailers obviously but usually also seating, drinks, maybe music, dance space etc. At major cook-offs the teams will often have big screens, a sound system, party lights, lounge areas etc but at smaller events it's more like a camp kitchen and some folding chairs, maybe a keg. The reason you need an invite is because each team sets up and pays for their own section so if you didn't have an invite it would be like walking up to my family's covered area at the beach and drinking our beer. Make sense?

@TXNS_fan
If you walk thru the cook off tent area they should be labeled with a sign that says public. We don't necessarily know what tents will be open it's their own choice. But might be a few.
