She's pretty smart and is starting to wonder now how he could be at so many houses in such a short time.

@lana7018 :
Cheech and Chong explained this in an earlier post....Santa has manic dust.

This brings up so many good memories. My son believed for a very long time or so I thought. He went along really well. We had Elfie, his special Elf visit every day he was good. Some days weren't fair because Mom forgot to tell/help Elfie show up. I had to laugh when one of his friends said there was no Elfs! He told him to Shhhh or he wouldn't get a surprise! I had lots of good reasons why some kids said Santa wasn't real.

There's always that one kid in class who decides it's their job to ruin Christmas for The Believers. Every year I have told DD, "Well, doesn't Johnny know that if he doesn't believe in Santa then Santa won't bring him any presents?" Now that she's 11, I have to wonder if she's just going along with it because she thinks she won't get any presents anymore. That's not what I meant, but I cannot bring it up to her without spilling the beans. So, at this year's school holiday gift shop she bought herself a present and put on the tag "To: (herself) From: Santa." I am 99% sure she knows...

@Sammee - Most likely she's about 99.9%, but most of us keep a little wiggle room even when we turn into grandma's and such.

Probably about half my childhood we had xmas out of state and away from home. We always did stockings and those little gifts at that time. Then when we got home we did more of the regular type gifts - just a week later or so.

Honestly, my parents never made it seem like it was anything different, so it felt normal and awesome to us.
