@rocketI mean, I guess I could look...but the day of the short press conference (live) after the debriefing, it was pretty widely mentioned on every news outlet at the end as the Trumps were leaving. The verbiage used was something to the effect of, "The Obamas have chosen to opt out of the customary press photo with the incoming first family."

@brightlights Hmm, interesting. It would seem both parties had a civil and cordial conversation. Perhaps they will take the photo inauguration day to make up for it.

@rocketThe day of that press conference when the photo op cancellation was mentioned, I couldn't help but think how uncomfortably awkward the meetings between Obama/Trump and Michelle/Melania must have been. I don't recall any other election cycle during which both the first family and the PE family said such contentious and vile things about one another on the campaign trail. Michelle was pretty vicious on her speeches about Trump...Trump was really vicious toward Obama and most definitely vise versa there...and then there was that whole hot mess of the embarassing, plagiaristic speech that Melania gave using, almost verbatim, a prior speech of Michelle's. I couldn't really blame either party for opting out of even more awkwardness of a photo op, if they did, in fact, opt out.

@brightlights I agree it was a slugfest. I guess the question is how much of it was theater versus how much is deep personal conviction. I guess we'll see in the coming weeks.
