Pastor Osteen was a preacher; Joel Osteen is a Christian Motivational speaker - two different birds. I like(d) them both; I think that humility is not his goal though as it is with Billy Graham. Nor is soul saving.
But I'm not their judge. If they are good stewards and tithe as the Bible tells us to, then what they do with the rest is their business.
There are churches out there that are "satellites";
I would never attend a "church" that the preacher is "on a screen - satellite" - I think that's impersonal and not a true worship experience. To me, worship is personal, sweet and a quiet, reverent experience with God. I'm not into all the falderal; or the modern music either; although I like to sing/listen to it in my home, but just not at a worship service.
