Burlington, Washington, a tiny community sitting off of Interstate 5 about 90 minutes north of Seattle in the Skagit Valley. Thirty minutes or so up the road from where our family used to live. Farming, some tourism, gateway to the North Cascades to the east or the San Juan Islands to the west. Logging used to dominate the area before massive cutbacks/regulations in that industry. Friday night football is loved by all there; yeah, it's not huge like it is here, but is also a much smaller community. Harvest festivals and pumpkin pitches; Berry Dairy Days Festival in the summer. Now someone has effed it up for everyone there.
