Colon Cancer runs in my family so I'm on the every 3 year plan and I've used Dr. Ranga in Humble since I moved here 13+ years ago and I really like him. Ex-husband and good friend used him and liked him.

What's Dr. Ranga's prep protocol?

@Sammee I just remember mixing up a lemony drink and having to drink the one container then drinking plenty of water to follow. It didn't taste bad but it didn't taste great either. They're changed it up since I started this process 25 years ago - I took one pill, 20 minutes later 2 pills, 20 minutes later 3 pills etc until I had taken about 20-30 pills with 8 oz of water each time. I was about to throw up it's so much better now.

So, when you had it done 3 years ago you had to take 20-30 pills? If so, he's a no-go for me.

@Sammee No, you didn't read it correctly 25 years ago!!!!

@Sammee I took the pill prep once. On my recent test, my doc told me they found the pill prep was bad for the liver.

I have had 4. Two out of the 4 retired & the other 2 I didn't like . This guy my husband found & used & I got to meet him & really liked him . I was suppose to have my testing done last month & couldn't because I have had some seriously low blood pressure swings & have to have heart testing now first .It was important to us to not only find a doctor that was good but one that spoke English & would outlive us & not retire on us like 2 of them have .Medical Clinic Of Houston ,LLP

procedure is done at 6560 Fannin Scurlock Tower Endoscopy center .From hwy 59 you exit Fannin & I think it is about the 2nd or maybe first red light you see on Fannin you take a right there on Sunset & office is about 1 mile down on left . Sunset is before all the big hospitals in the med center .

The drink stuff makes me sicker than a dawg. I can't keep it down.
Did pills long, long time ago but since they say the pills are no longer safe, most go with the gallons of swimming pool water tasting stuff along with that horrid bottle of what ever that is.
The doc said to chill it before downing...yum...you drink it then Doc.
But I have to admit I love going to Margaritaville during the procedure.

When I did mine they first gave me a powder that I had to mix into 32 oz of water...was supposed to drink two of these. It had a thickness to it and I couldn't get it down. So they had to give me another kind...it was a liquid that you mixed with 16 oz of water...also had to do this twice. Because it was more like drinking water I was able to hold my nose and suck it down. Wasn't too bad.

@Luckysis that sounds like what I've been using with Dr. Ranga in Humble. He speaks English very well and has a good sense of humor/bedside manner which is important to me since I like to tease a bit with him and he takes it well.

Just looked him up and he's in my network. I'll keep him in mind. Went to Dr Hamat last time but in a previous thread it was mentioned that some had problems with him.
