I like to throw my shoes in a huge pile in the middle of my closet, then I step all over them to get to my clothes and whine about how bad that hurts my feet. My kids are better with putting up shoes than I am.

I do the same thing. We don't wear shoes in the house, so there are baskets by both doors. DH is the one who can't seem to put his shoes where they belong, even though it's 12" away from where he leaves them. Men.

I tried years ago to make everyone remove their outside shoes upon entry. The struggle is real.

I have noticed that my floors must have glue because more times than not they walk in and their feet just come out of them in middle of my kitchen. I have tried and tried but that glue is a sticky son of a gun!

I'm am still struggling with the shoes and all my kids are in high school!

One time when the kids were little, we drove all the way to Kemah before we realized that none of them had shoes on! We had to go to Wally World and buy all three of them flip flops.

Nope...husbands do it too. I swear, we have so many single shoes in our house, by the time I find their mates, they no longer fit my kids. It's very annoying.

This is what I have in my garage and it is filled up with shoes. We also don't wear shoes in the house, so we leave and come in through garage door. 😊👍🏼

@West-Tex
Your garage is so beautifully clean! Our walls aren't finished out inside and there is a small gap around the bottom piece of siding, so we get grass debris blown in from the lawn guys--and spiders. I blow it out with the leaf blower, but it gets dirty in a couple of weeks. Because of the spiders, I could never keep my shoes in the garage.

@Sammee That is not my garage it's a pic from online. I was too lazy to get up and go take one. Lol! I have a niece that's 14 and is always wanting jobs to earn money, so I hire her to wipe down the garage and sweep it. 😂😂😂

I got so frustrated with my youngest I took her shoes away this weekend. She is very hard on shoes, doesn't put them on all the way or untie/tie them properly. So I found her brand new shoes (has had them for 1 week) laying in the game room with knots in the laces and I took them away. I told her she has to wear her old broken shoes until she can show me she knows how to properly take care of them.
