Ah, makes sense.....internal power struggles are never pretty, nor do they always produce sensible results.

That said, the investigation pointed a serious arrow aimed at the football program.

Maybe the Pepper firm was actually a consultant for the BOR as I said.......and the best course of action to stem the tide of Fed investigation and civil suits was to offer up Art.

This became more than football at some point.......and I bet their are some rifts between big cigars being played out.......not at all uncommon to major universities. It happens a lot in areas without a high profile ( dean appointments, etc)

Famous saying.....when the elephants start fighting, the ants are the first to die......

What disturbs me is that this started at the same time he went to.Baylor...in 2009.
Unfortunately if you want to win in College football you have to have some thugs on the team.....
You don't see Harvard or Princeton battling for a NC...

The guy was a duche bag for covering up those sex scandals. Girls went up to coaches and told them, they hushed them up. That is NOT the right thing to do. Bottom line. Coaches are held to a higher standard. Period. That is the job. Deal with your players or don't , it will always be ur leagacy which ever the outcome.

Flip the script, not all sexual assault is "thug" related...sometimes they wear coat and tie in an Oval Office, sometimes they wear a doctors coat, sometimes they wear a skirt and pumps......

It is abhorrent and happens at all levels of society........and should be prosecuted evenly and according to the law.

That's what I was saying back to mcdaddy, he said you have to have some thugs on the team to be good. Marshall Lynch was labeled a "thug" He become a positive and successful player
