Those were the regular, old-fashioned spring mouse traps. I went and bought the sticky traps and put peanut butter and a chocolate chip on each one, four traps....come and get it, little mouse....I just hope the mouse stays out of my house. The garage is connected by a breezeway, which all shares a roof and attic space with the house. He was attracted to and getting into the birdseed. While cleaning the garage yesterday and today, I found three partial bags of birdseed that had all been chewed through. I cleaned up all of the mess and we are now a birdseed-free household, until I can find a vermin-proof container.

Removing the food supply is 90% of the solution. I mean would you stay in a restaurant after the buffet was cleared. Keep the traps though.

I'm just worried that since his seed is gone, he'll beebop over to my kitchen to get some grub.

@Sammee You could use a glass spring loaded glass top container. They tried to eat through a hard plastic rim of a dog food container. I had forgotten about the bird seed. I still had some seed from our bird that died and they had gotten into that. They are very smart creatures.
