@TheCatsMeow I am not doubting what you were told. I am doubting that the person who told you that knows what they are talking about. There is a big difference between an "area REtention pond" and a "Regional DEtention facility". And, from looking at the map above, and realizing that they already have a HUGE REtention pond about 100 yards away from this location (also called Lake Houston), you have to wonder why we need another REtention pond at that location. I have never heard of a REtention pond being called a DEtention facility. Facility, to me, means more than a hole in the ground.

Detention referring to water....

This is old, outdated information.The only detention is for railroad maybe. Again, this is low lying area
It appears as if all of the maps posted are not current.
