This is the exact post I am needing today. So I had a stylist that I have used for a few years and it seemed everytime I have to go back because it was always uneven. You know maybe my head is crooked IDK but if it's crooked then cut it crooked to even up my uneven head....lol Anyway I decided that to try a River Oaks Salon Ceron Hair Studio on the website it says cut and style $145 and up. Expensive yes but I decided to treat myself it was my birthday month and I just wanted to do something special. Let me tell you that "and up" was not playing around $350 and I have short hair like above the shoulder bob styled hair. It was a great cut and nice experience but absolutely NOT worth it. All of that to say I am looking for a hair salon please let me know if you have someone that you use preferably a short hair stylist that you are happy with.

@Daiquiri : Me, too!! I went from mousy brown to highlights, and now I'm pretty much blonde. It helps hide the line of gray... I have no idea how much the haircut costs.

Anybody ever been to a beauty school? I went quite a few times years ago when things were super tight. They charge for a haircut, but it was super cheap. And then I would tip the stylist a small amount. I didn't feel the need to tip much because they were students. No one ever tipped me for writing an English paper. lol. Plus, they have to complete a certain amount of work before being allowed to graduate so there's that. I had mixed results but usually got at least a decent cut. That said, I had to allow a lot more time because the students have to have their work checked by the instructors, etc.

I color my own hair. L'oreal #8G. Medium blonde. It comes out quite good. I have received several compliments. The sun puts in highlights. I'm a natural blonde but it turned grey and gross over the years.

I know right, since it said starting at $145.00 I would of never guessed it would go up that much. Especially with short hair.
