Sammee : This is a vote for the owners of property on the golf course. We have already had a vote by all the ACIA owners and it was a NO vote to get involved by a great majority.

@tflea : I didn't receive notice of the vote for all of the other homeowners. This is the communication problem I am speaking of.

@Sammee : I agree but the course is a business. I think it needs to stay, I'm pretty butt hurt that I don't have a course behind my house like I bought but land changes directions.
I'm not home to see if anything came to the house but I am guessing no. I'll check with
my son. It does have an effect for me as I inherit my friends home. I plan to move out of
my too big house but not in a hurry!

@Sammee : That would have been the proper way to let us know but I don't think they care one bit. It has been secrets all along. I have no idea what they will put behind me but there are some obstacles to building. In the meantime most of us keep it mowed. A tree fell down on a neighbors yard and fence and no one came forward. He's a senior and had to have someone take care of it. I do know some communities are closing the courts.

@dac2010 : Yes. If you sign away the restrictions, they can do whatever they want with the golf course. Condos, apartments, etc.

@bjfleming2357 : I disagree, this does not affect everyone in the community. This is for those on the course only and are the only ones affected. I wonder how many of those on the course are paying members of the golf association.
Those playing golf do not pay a portion of my RV or boat so why should I pay to help them play golf.

@tflea : I don't play golf but we've lived here for 36 years. People who don't own property on the golf course may not have a vote, but it would still impact the community.
