Houston's Cinco De Mayo parade canceled this year amid ICE concerns, LULAC says HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- The League of United Latin Citizens' annual Cinco De Mayo Parade has been canceled this year due to increasing concerns about ICE presence, the organization said in a statement on Friday. According to LULAC representatives, the decision came after the parade committee, in consultation with district leadership, voted to cancel the 2026 parade. "The safety of our children and their parents remains our highest priority," LULAC said. "While Cinco de Mayo is an important cultural celebration that honors heritage, pride, and community unity, no event outweighs the responsibility we have to protect our families." Although the parade won't be held this year, the committee insisted that the event will return. "We look forward to bringing the parade back next year under conditions that allow our community to gather freely, safely, and without fear." abc13.com/post/houst ons-2026-cinco-de-ma yo-parade-canceled-y ear-amid-ice-co

Good Grief we must have a heck of an illegal population in Texas. Perhaps they need to just make their way back to their real homes where they will be safe.Please keep the forums civil. Gray box info Details+Dispute
From your words, you would be a perfect ice agent. God bless you.

Correct, they sought out and received a ruling to legally use racial profiling for enforcement. Nab first, ask questions later.

If you have brown skin or speak Spanish, you're a target.
If you are in this country legally, why would the presence of ice bother you? Makes no sense.

But you can't because they were legally murdered by Ice.
Hundreds of cases of detentions of legally present people for days or longer.
It's detain first, ask questions later now.

@Pinehurst :
The media is deflecting their narratives convincing certain parts of the mass that ICE will arrest and deport US citizens for looking brown when not true.

Pinehurst : Ask Rene Goodman that. Ask Alex Pretti that. But you can't because they were legally murdered by Ice.
What would 's strategy to accomplish that look like?....
@TootsieRoll :
No such thing as legally murder. Their deaths were ruled justifiable homicide based on their illicit actions.
