A few years ago I posted that if we are going to have executions and want them to serve as a deterrent, they should be public; possibly even the adamant supporters should witness the sentence we are imposing.I know that not one person posted agreement. It is harsh, and possibly sadistic. I would think that most people in this day and age would not support executions if faced with the reality of watching someone forcibly put to death.I support executions and I believe folks that strongly support executions should witness one, but I also believe it is a bit twisted to make it a public spectacle and folks have a desire to see the event.We are a civilized society who claims Christian values. Not so much third world with ex3cutions on the public squarePay per view? Tr$mp with front row seat?
