And how many historical people whose statues were defaced, torn down or cowardly removed by those in power are there? Do you really have to justify everything with a but….but….but…..this happened to us. How about just say it is wrong and leave it at that.

rocket1 : Typical response. On the day he was murdered, I remember some on here kind of doing exactly what you're doing now. Giving a "so what" type of response because people were so horrified. Comparing the act with the murders of Melissa Hortman and her husband. What?? Now you compare this to the Emmit Till statue? Why can't you just TRY to be sympathetic to ONE victim, without downplaying it.
