On February 13, 2025, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 19900 Block of Atascocita Shores Drive. The driver refused to stop and engaged deputies on a vehicle pursuit that ended at a residence in the 8700 block of Summit Pines Drive., where the driver attempted to run inside the house.The suspect was detained and identified as Ethan Amir Rankin. During the investigation, he was found to be in possession of of 0.16 oz of marijuana and 0.3 grams of cocaine."Ethan Rankin was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
