I saw this I can't believe the nerve of some people. I believe the law is if they've had the power on and lived for 6 months it's theirs. It's such bull?!@&$! That they have to evict them and waste another 30 days. They are trying to steal the property out from under that Doctor. It happens all of the time

I like how she kicked the reporter out telling him that he was trespassing.

I wonder if you could sell the property to a friend and with new ownership negate the eviction process to move them out? All the paperwork has to be in the rightful owners name etc.

If the owner has been paying the mortgage and taxes all along, it seems to me that this property wouldn't qualify as abandoned. I also wonder why the realtor wasn't checking on this property. Maybe it is a for-sale-by-owner situation.

Maybe I should go scope out some empty River Oaks homes and start squatting. Hmmmmmmmm...

That is why I keep my rental property in Louisiana. It is a simple process to evict. No need for an attorney.
