More Democrat Judges
Just like when Obama was elected a lot of good Judges got ousted because they did not have a D behind their names. Looking at the Dems surge at the polls it has done the same thing. Now people always gripe about how lenient judges are on crime. Letting out the wrong people, no bail and so forth. We shall see if this is more of the same. You can tell people just vote party for judges not knowing what their records are and that is both sides. However, it does seem that D Judges are way different in their thought process than a R.
7 Republican criminal district judges lost to Democrats.
3 county criminal court judges lost to Democrats.
2 Republican justices of the peace were defeated by Democrats.
There were also Democratic victories in county civil and probate court races.

We need to find a better way to elect judges other than partisan elections. Judges need to run on qualifications not party affiliation.

Smokeybear : Agreed! I only voted for TX Supreme Court Justices and the Precint 4 Judge off of Will Clayton. I don't think she won, though.

Yes, we need to hear a lot more about what the judges are doing. It seems there is little information about what their record is. Maybe some dem judges are hard on crime but you never hear that. I also am bias against women judges cause you hear about the ones who are soft on crime. It is very important with crime to put the criminal away so they cannot keep inflicting pain on society.

I take a small note sheet in with me to vote for a lot of the judges. I look up their records and any controversies.

Believe it or not, my ballots are always purple.
