AMCLady : I actually want her to focus on the rip off insurance rates in Texas and also College affordability. I also do not want her to kill the voucher plan but she has publicly stated she intends to.
Wanderer : Gina wants to take that voucher money and put it back into the public schools and make them better. That is big priority. I've not heard good things from other states that have vouchers.
brightlights : The money will come from the "rainy day fund" which has billions of dollars just sitting in it doing nothing.
AMCLady : Funny because I talked to families who are benefiting from praise the education they are receiving. Now they will be forced to have this taken away. I see major lawsuits over this in the future.

AMCLady : They will never get 2/3 votes required..And since the newbies are against oil and gas industry, what then? (assuming it did get spent)
Lace : You're right, the Republican legislature won't go for it. They will keep hoarding that money.
