I understand that you're an ardent supporter of 47, and all that he stands for. Even if he declared himself emperor. However, some of us are less than thrilled with what we're seeing. Ultimately history will determine whether overall, 47s presidency was good or bad for humanity. I don't think it's going to be a fine line. That said, it will be interesting to see which one of us were on the right side of it.

I don't care who's in charge right now but, as a native Washingtonian, I am ****. Trump is damaging everything in the city. It's not just the White House, the Kennedy center, and the reflecting pool. He has now knocked down a bunch of cherry trees along the Potomac River that have been there since the early 1900s all for a golf course. Those trees are beautiful. You can see them when you fly in to Reagan airport in the spring. Favorite gift from the Japanese people to our people in 1912. I can't believe the Congress is allowing him to do that. When I used to go down to the Tidal Basin, every spring with my parents, we were warned to not to pick the blossoms on those trees. When is it going to stop? What is he going to destroy next?

It seems to me, he has a particular hard on for anything to do with the Kennedys. He had the Rose Garden paved over that Jackie established. He ordered the two 747s commonly used as AF1 be repainted from the colors that were designed during Kennedys presidency. Then there's is the effort to place his name on the on the Kennedy Center.I wouldn't surprise me if he ordered the eternal flame at JFKs grave to be extinguished.

After the fiasco at the border during the last administration, I really don't think the Democrats are going to do that again. They were cleaning up their act during the last year of by his administration if you were paying attention. I'm definitely not for ice going to certain cities and threatening people as they look for illegals. They don't seem to be interested in getting just the criminals.
My post was not about immigration. My post is about my home city being torn up for no reason at all. Washington DC was beautiful. Yes, certain things needed to be attended to but not torn down. Unfortunately, it's going to be the next administration that has to clean it all up. And they will never be able to replace those cherry trees. That's just nuts to cut those trees down. Trump worries about vandalism. He's the worst vandal there is. I feel bad for the Kennedys. I was a senior in high school with Kennedy was shot and killed and since he and Jackie both love the arts, the Kennedy center was an excellent way of honoring both of them. Let the people fix it. It doesn't belong to Trump.
