The "assessment" that was given 'low confidence' That it came from a lab leak?: yeah they were directed to put that out, I'll let you guess who told them to.At this point, it doesn't even matter where it came from. It really didn't matter once it took hold across the globe.If you're worried about lies, I've got a laundry list just from the other day from one person. But I'm sure you're not going to want to discuss that.

Example, he exaggerated the number of people who would die but privately told what the real low number was. I guess you read these private statements some years back? Yet you pushed the false narrative for him on places like this? The media is sure quiet.

His low estimates in his private diary were well before his public statements of a higher rate to conhress. His initial government projections were initially 100 to 200,000. But guess what happened?: he had to revise those upwards as people kept dying. We topped out over a million.Things change, you can't stick with a number in an ever-changing situation.Was this a Facebook meme that you took from?

@ParksideRes : They played the clips on Fox this morning and then showed the quote from Fauci's diary. If you just listen to your little closed minded media who don't want to look bad and not research other sources then you will not know anything. Your dem loving media gave this story 24 seconds and that was only one media group. All the others gave 0 seconds to tell people like you what was written by Fauci. So go do your own homework.

Well of course Fox News isn't going to tell you that. They know you'll take it word for word. Kind of like all those election things that cost them nearly a billion dollars.

Did he say that was always the projection? Did anyone ask? Did you even think about that? Probably not.

Far more people die than he thought would at that time.They were factual for what was known, which was very little. And that was noted at the time as well. It was uncharted.

Lets see you stated his statement is wrong and all I did was seek clarification that his statement was not factual. I never once mentioned "Sheep" so I do not know how my statement was aligned with this term. I am reading right it is you being vague and misleading.

@Wanderer : Welcome to commenting on a full thread. That was the main argument of the op.But, yes: his initial diary entry ended up being wrong. He increased his thoughts in front of Congress, and that ended up being wrong. Both were too low. We all know that they are alluding to the argument that he was overzealous with his numbers. And that's not the case.Is it wrong to revise your outlook when more data arrives? No

The OP is entitled to his observation based on materials he is viewing which shows there is lots of major concerns with Fauci previous statements and even you admitted his previous statement was not factual. Nobody is perfect but unfortunately he is not in a position to guess.
