ParksideRes : And what place is this? I have been to many places around the Country and I can say nutritious food is what you make of it. #msg2192919

@Wanderer : It's a little outdated but today is not much any different. Not everyone has access to transportation to go get food that's far away from them. You keep forgetting that people are poor and can't afford certain things which would include transportation to be able to get their food as well.

@ParksideRes :
Like I said I do not know the extent of food shortage. Sounds like you are describing Alaska where yes supermarkets are far but from what I last learned the locals have their own methods of food collection and alot healthier.

What did I ignore? You talk nutrition or lack of it and I ask you where and how people I have researched solved it.

@Wanderer : This. You completely ignored the fact that I gave you a source that shows food deserts all over the country. Not just Alaska.

@ParksideRes :
Okay maybe cut off deserts and problem solved. Sounds like a bad judgment in food choice is the problem.

@Wanderer : And now you play the awkward avoidance "joke" post to try and exit the conversation because you're clueless now. Classic.

I mention fairness and reliability and you mentioned poor decisions and poor diet and I am just merely suggesting to try solutions to eating right to avoid health issues.

@Wanderer : And I'm trying to tell you that not everyone has that option to get to a grocery store to purchase healthy food.

I see you running in circles, like usual.

But I asked you earlier can you cite a location while I cited Alaska where they are truly isolated but still manage to eat healthy. You are the one circling.

@Wanderer : And I actually gave you hundreds. You just decided to ignore it because that makes your argument fall apart.

Alaska is actually the largest food desert in the country and one of the unhealthiest. Almost 20% of the population is out of reach of fresh and nutritious food on a regular basis.

So no, not everyone in Alaska can eat healthy easily.

@ParksideRes :
Alaska ranks below national average in terms of obesity rates. Nothing is 100% but they are doing something right to not let it get bad like the lower 48. It is choice that leads to poor decisions.

@Wanderer : Not always. Sometimes economics rears it's ugly head.

Obesity isn't the only marker of unhealthiness.

I have been to many countries where people are from resources such as ours but still maintain strong and healthy lifestyles. It is always choices.
