First lady of New York . POS!

Why do you even care about this? I'm quite sure scores of other Americans were out the country on the 4th too. Doing all kinds of activities. So, are they POS also?

Regretably, 47 is president. As such, one would expect him to be in the country on the 4th. No?

@rocket1 : Of course and so would you expect the Mayor of New York and his wife to be at the celebration held in New York. Think about it. The 250 anniversary is something that everyone now living will be gone when the next one is celebrated. You only get one in your lifetime. The place that was devastated on 9/11 also holds a great importance in our history. Overcoming such a terrible event that the mayor and his wife should be giving patriotic speeches and attending as many celebrations they can in the city. But you go a head and give a pass to her but would in no way give a pass to a Republican if they were the same position in New York.

Who cares they knew what they were getting when they vote for him. She just comes with the package.

If she practices Islam, that is her faith. I assume you wouldn't have any heartburn had she been at a Christian retreat.

@rocket1 : She is the wife of Mayor Mamdani. Mayor of the largest US city. We were celebrating a semiquincentennial event. Very poor judgement used to not support our country..her country as she was born here. Houston in fact.

Given all the challenges the average person faces just trying to make ends meet. I'd wager most people could give a rats butt about the comings and goings of the Mayor of New York wife. I also think referring to her as a POS is way over the top. My suspicion is if someone applied the same label to Melania, you'd be highly upset and defensive.

This kinda of sounds like if a guy is at an important business meeting with the boss and the wife doesn't show or gets drunk and embarrass the husband you would say no biggie. But instead of being on her case how about what Mandami said the other day. "The powerful have always known their answer," he continued. "America, in their view, is an arena of supremacy where only a select few are allowed freedom, where not all are created equal." So when he himself feels that about his country why would we think his wife would be any different?

MamdaniWhy in the world should we gaf about what the mayor of NY's wife is doing on any given day? I couldn't tell you where most any other politicians' wife is, ever. Idk where Melania is like 99% of the time.
You know what I did most of the 4th? I worked. I don't care about reflecting pools, religious retreats, or stopping birthright citizenship. Worry about some **** that really matters. Good lord.
