brightlights : What kind of cheese is this?
@Catmae : BellaVitano. 😂
It's a cow's milk cheese...here's a copied/pasted description:
"BellaVitano is a unique, award-winning Wisconsin cow's milk cheese from Sartori inspired by Italian farmhouse cheeses, often described as a rich, nutty, fruity, buttery blend of Parmesan and Cheddar, with a creamy texture and crystalline crunch, available in many flavored versions like Merlot, Espresso, or Black Pepper, with the rind often being edible and flavor-infused."
Have you ever had Manchego cheese? If so, you know those tiny little crispy/crystallized bits throughout (my fav part) that kind of impart a "nutty" flavor? BellaVitano has those as well. I would say medium/medium-high sharpness with a buttery flavor. Delicious!
I always get the pre-cubed vs. the wedges, because every cube has its own edible rind infused with espresso, merlot, tomato (they also have a pumpkin spice one, but I haven't been brave enough 👀) vs. just the outside only of the wedge.
