Food Truck Owners Seek Answers After Power Cables were Cut at Porky's Backyard in Atascocita

Food truck owners at Porky's Backyard along Atascocita Road near Timber Forest Drive are asking for the community's help after reporting that their power cables were deliberately cut yesterday morning, October 29th. Nine food trucks were affected, according to the owners. Surveillance footage reportedly showed someone carrying bolt cutters and gathering cut cords on a cart. A Harris County sheriff's deputy responded to the scene around 5:38 AM.

Any information on the incident should be reported to the Harris County Sheriff's Office Burglary & Theft Unit. No arrests have been made and the subject's identity and motive are unknown. The allegations do not establish guilt.

You were probably correct! The building is part of a $52 million campus upgrade and may actually serve a number of purposes.

While the initial construction completion date was slated to be tomorrow, it very well could still be a while before it's finished.

I'm not sure as I haven't seen it first-hand.

OhMy: I saw the video footage from Porky's and it looked like she first unplugged the end from the power source and then cut the cord as close to the food truck as she could. The article said she tried rolling up the heavy cables, stacking them in a cart but it got too heavy for her to push. So several cables were left behind as she took her load to her vehicle which was reportedly across the street.
