So they have to torture us to get richer! What's even worse for me is I give them money every month anyway!

Most of these "charities" have overpaid executives. Take a look at red cross. I prefer to give locally if I'm so inclined.

Outrageous. And do they really need that many people at the top? How much do the boots on the ground people get paid?!!! I prefer to donate to local shelters and rescue groups. The only national group that I donate to is Make A Wish Foundation.

Never donate to them! They are so many AMAZING local rescue groups pulling from/preventing admission to shelters. They are always in need of money the people running them are pouring money into the animals not taking from them!

cheryltom : And Goodwill.The ASPCA is garbage. They allocate less than 5% of these outrageous executive investment portfolios to actual shelters acrossthecountry. There's only 1 ASPCA location, btw (NYC). The rest are local chapters who receive zero funding for their neighborhood shelters.People should know this before getting sucked into their multi-million dollar, tear-jerking ad campaigns. Donate to reputable LOCAL rescues instead.
