Alright, the horrific idea of a rope burn like no other

Aaaand, in on a cruise now, some of the ladies taking a zip line excursion in a day or two.

Not sure I wouldn't be rethinking that.

I bet that is going to be hell learning to walk again.

@redneckroy :

Not the zip lines I'm used to seeing. I'm not sure I understand how that one was supposed to work.

It wasn't a zip line. It was a rope swing.

And ouch. Now we know the cringe that guys feel when another guy gets jacked in the jewels. 😬

That seems like a janky setup, but the lady had no business on that thing anyways... She couldn't hold herself up and dropped as soon as she was off her feet. That retrieval line has to be to the side, or that will happen every time no matter where you turn loose.

@Floyd : Something very similar happened to me, years ago. Went to the farm of a high school friend, for New Years Eve. They had a big pond with the cable system going across. Everyone was taking turns, but I was chicken. They finally talked me into it, but no one noticed the cable had gotten more slack as people went across.

I got stuck halfway across the pond. They had to float an inner tube out for me to fall into (in the middle of winter). It was the inner tube from a tractor. I fell straight through the center, all the way into the pond. Cold is putting it lightly.

@Catmae :
This guy didn't even have the right part on the line... that was just a carabiner and it was smokin... that line could have chewed right through that thing. Not sure what was supposed to happen anyway with that big wad in the middle...

@Floyd : This looks like user error to me. Unfortunate.

@Catmae : Me too... that was one of the craziest ziplines I've ever seen and the most ill prepared guy on it... that had to be a real chore getting his feet back on the ground, but we got the video so I assume he made it back.
