@brightlights :Speaking of "peppers"....My older pepper plants, 2 of them, that are so tall I had to kick them out of the main garden last year are cranking out some seriously SPICY peppers....These are the ones I mentioned had over 40 peppers on them a few weeks ago....Well, now most of them are red or turning such but even worse many are "cracking" along the skins...Supposedly a sign of "maturity" and a lot of "capsaicin" in them which causes "spicyness" on the tongue....And let me tell you, it's true as far as I can tell!....The peppers I've picked that have cracks along the skins are all really spicy!....

I have a giant fig tree. I love figs! My grandmother made the best preserves, also. I wish I would have gotten her recipe.

LOL! AI can do that! I am hoping my tree does well this year. I tried making preserves one year but I cooked them too long. It was a sticky mess! 🤷‍♀️

I will be working in my yard and just pop a ripe one in my mouth. They are so delicious. It is too bad that they have such a short shelf life!

First figs of the season, and yes, I ate just as many as went into the bag. So sweet and yummy .
