A body was recovered from Buffalo Bayou Thursday morning after crews were initially called for a rescue near Marcario Garcia Drive. Investigators say the victim is believed to be a Black man between 40 and 50 years old. The body was discovered by a cleanup crew working along the bayou. 🗣️ "We still have a lot of work ahead of us to do in the next few hours," a detective said. At this time, there are no clear signs of foul play. Officials say there is no threat to the public. This marks at least the fifth body found in Houston-area bayous since January 2026.
