The purpose is to build unique local communities in each location...we had a problem where the vast majority of posts in some of the slower sites, were being made by people who didn't live there. It doesn't make sense to be paying 95% of cash rewards to people in Kingwood, for example, who are posting on Tomball.com ...and it creates a weird atmosphere for people who do actually live there to participate...doesn't feel "local" at all. Anyone is allowed to post wherever they live, but the financial benefit paid by me, only accrues to your "home" forum.

@Joe : If your home site is KDC can you get box credits over here?

Theoretically no, but I don't recall exactly...the purpose was not to financial reward non-home forum participation. I wish I had unlimited credits to give to anyone and everyone, but there is a limit on the budget, and I have to focus where I think it will be most beneficial to the forums as a whole.
