Just disgusting $250,000 bond really, why so low? Hoping his family does not make bond for him and he gets the justice he deserves.

Sick and angry is how I feel about this.

I hope the community surrounds his family with love and support. At this time we (the community) are not aware of they (the family) has endured at the mercy of this own hands.The mother has always been nothing but gentle and sincere in the schools and his child was always so well behaved and sweet.So I hope the people around them now are aware of this and surround them with love and understanding. I also hope if any of our children have been touched by this Psycho that they are brave enough to speak out and not get lost in the shame that they feel.I also hope our community is more aware that these types of (NORMAL) PEOPLE surround our kids daily. I pray his own blood was not offended by his actions.I also pray for the mothers that might have allowed their children to spend the night in this home that God gives them the power and serenity to openly discuss any harm that may have been done.I wish I knew how to post this story and not just the link because I know people need to be aware! Lynn there is no room in society for those who prey on the innocence of young children. While their small gray matter (brains) are developing they look to their elders out of instinct for guidance with unconditional trust. Those who use this against them are very sick individuals. There are way too many like incidents that happen in everyday life and that is very….very wrong. Organizations that have to do with youth TRY to build guidelines to help prevent these people from being part of their organizations you trust your children with and that we as children never had an issue with, but today’s society has created such needs. But sadly some still get through the gaps.Volunteer coaches in youth sports, volunteer leaders in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Church groups, etc.; have had to change in major ways and may I add insurances to just be a “Volunteer”. Background checks, child protection class requirements, rules of conduct. The majority of the new volunteer are parents which are dedicated to try to bring a semblance of normalcy to their children’s life and others need to be applauded for giving their personal life out there for inspection by others so they can be a “Volunteer”. Without them our children would not have these activities.

I agree with the above, but as was stated somewhere else doing a background check only shows those who have been caught. Most probably are never caught. To me one thing that I have seen as a volunteer is parents all to willing to give their kids over to these people at the drop of a hat. A lot do not say around a supervise at all. They just see sporting events as extended "day care". While coaching for 10 + years in softball I can't tell you how many times I would be waiting with a little girl for a parent to show up AFTER the park was closed and the gates locked. What kind of position could that have put me in? All it would have taken is for a child to make a accusation. Parents, please stay involved. Don't just drop your kids off and run to do something else. Stay and participate by being a active parent.

Example, last year my DD cheered at a different gym. A coach took a special interest in her and her skill level. He offered on many occasions to pick her up and do a few privates for free to improve her position.Now, that may have all been very innocent but with my background I was like HELL no! I then explained it to my DD so she could understand.In my opinion as a parent NEVER allow the invitation available for time alone with anyone other than yourself or immediate family YOU trust. Oh yes I know immediate family molest all the time. You do know what I mean!

Or make it known that the "private time" would include myself as well. That's the only way it works.

@lynnsgirl: My DH and I were both Boy Scout leaders (he was a Scout Master and I was one of the Assistant Scout Masters.). They train ALL scout masters and assistants "Two Deep Leadership". No child is ever allowed to be alone with only one leader and vise versa.

This reminds me of the karate instructor who was accused of indecency with a child and committed suicide. I was shocked after what he was accused of and the thought of exposing my daughter to him
