Isn't the rule - don't attack the folks here but public figures are ok. Yes?

On this board when it comes to politics and other topics of the day, sometimes things get quite heated. Regrettably there's some degree of name calling which is not a good thing. That said some of your postings in my view border on prejudice at best and racism at worst.

I have been posting here for several years now and we have generally managed to stay away from that type of rhetoric. In my time here there's only been one poster that was banned for those very issues. In the end I'm not the moderator and perhaps most of the posters here don't have a problem with your worldview.

That said please enlighten me on just what you mean by the phrase "oh ha ha" for example, along with that can you tell me/us what you mean by the statement some reputations are earned? Maybe I'm misjudging your intent.

Rocket - do you somehow think reputations are grown on trees?

Maybe they come off of a automated production line?

Maybe they come from an chemical reaction from a processing plant on the ship channel?

Nope - reputations are earned - weather you like it or not.

BAD APPLES sometime ruin the batch.

Whether you answer these questions or not, in regards to your opinions you're entitled to them. I just thought this forum might be the wrong place to voice them but perhaps I'm in the minority.

But I do want to thank you for having this conversation. You have provided me a deeper level of knowledge than I had before the thread. Earlier I indicated silence can be deafening. In regards to this board I hear things now louder than ever.

Are you one of those people that support the idea that it is "ok/not illegal" to burn our flag?

You might consider staying on the topic and not focusing on the others here.

Somehow my thoughts/positions, since they are different form yours, should not be allowed or are inappropriate.

@rocket - sorry I've had a rough day plus I avoid threads with this title knowing exactly who they come from. I wasn't expecting you.

I very much agree that the language, insinuations, reading between the lines, nudge nudge wink wink stuff here is obvious in its intended targets. I find it incredibly disrespectful. There are more than a few people who I simply do not respond to anything they say here.

But you are right, silence can be part of the problem too.

And at the same time, I belive that words only have the power we give them.

This is @atascocitadotcom's board...but without us posting, there wouldn't be much going on. I think most of us bring something of value, but some harm more than help and simply make our community look bad.

Maybe we should all send a private request for a change or two around here and see what happens?

@cbp210 - what is bothering you about this thread? Try to be specific, I'd like to understand but your comments are often vague. I read your posts on KDC disparaging us and this site but they are not specific either.
