I'm **** off that the media is trying to collect sympathy for one of these criminals because she is only 17. That is old enough to know if you use a rock to break a window, reach you hand through that window and enter a house to steal from other people - you are doing something very wrong that comes with a high potential consequence. To say nothing of arriving in a stolen car.

Both of these people were in the house. The homeowner was completely legally justified in shooting them. Would I have done the same? I don't know. It's hard to know what you would do until you are confronted in your home by someone breaking and entering and then having a few seconds to figure it all out.

Again I will say, I feel very, very sorry for this poor man and his family. He was at home minding his own business and is now going to be drug through the mud, suffer through a full investigation, pay for an attorney, cleaning costs at his home, lose his privacy and deal with whatever moral implications this all has for him as a human being.

DITTO!

I said they kept saying teen, poor girl.
F that in my book. If she was using that arm for good she would still have it.

I still want to know who they are, where they came from, and what part of the city they stole the car from and decided, hey let's go to Atascocita.

It was planned no doubt in my mind.

What boggles my mind with all these crimes is how much freakin work it all is for little return.
Just get a job. And no monkeys on your back.

I am outraged that the people were telling me that it was a shame that those home invaders where injured. WHAT THE ??? Did they not get that what they did was a crime? Who knows what they would have done to the homeowners. All I heard today was the pity they felt for the criminals. I consider myself to be a kind empathic person but in this case, I have NONE for them what so ever. They were old enough to know that it was Wrong!

I am so grateful that we have brave homeowners in our neighborhood that aren't afraid to protect themselves. " Live by the sword, die by the sword " AND ---> Pity will get you killed!

Exactly! They had two choices to make that day and they made the wrong choice. Even most kindergartners understand that there are always consequences for every choice. It's not rocket science.

I pray that the family involved finds peace and knows their community is here to give them support.

I would love to see the media root for the victims for a change. They have the longest road to healing. But it never goes away. All this flooded me with memories and talking with my dh he now knows why I am so freaky about certain things.

As for these girls I hope everything they do is groundhog day. When the one goes to scratch an itch she can't reach, the other needing to get up the stairs. It may be cold or heartless but at my old age sympathy comes less and less for *****s.
And I'll bet it doesn't change one person's state of being in their little circle. Job hazard. Sick.
