Ok, don't get mad when I ask a dumb question, widow here, so I can't ask my hubby anymore. What is this about the way they are ending the college football season? Are they doing something like the Super Bowl in pros?

No.... In the past computer rankings and coaches polls decided who the 2 best teams in the country were to play fir the national championship ....
In a few instances a couple of teams have got screwed out of a chance to play for it.....
It's not perfect now, but a committee of 13 people will decide who the top 4 teams will play for the trophy..... I wish they would have chosen 8 teams.... And I believe a few years down the road they will....
College football is ruled by the big $$$$$$ and the little schools really don't have a chance.....

Oh, ok, They keep talking about something different this year, so I was wondering what that was. I know they still have the different conferences: Big 12, Big 10, SEC, etc. Before some games didn't really matter unless you were playing an opponent in your conf. Now they are saying each game counts, is this true now?Thanks @macdaddy for answering my questions.

Love the way the SEC is looking so far. I am worried that OSU looked really good against Florida St.
