WILL CLAYTON @ SILVER BEND IS CLOSED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS DUE TO MOTOR VEHICLE INCIDENT. MOTORIST SHOULD AVOID AREA. WOODLAND HILLS, ATASCOCITA ROAD AND TIMBER FOREST ARE ALSO AFFECTED.
I saw it right after impact, while 911 was being called. Very, very sad. People need to pay attention. No matter who was at fault, people need to pay attention. Way too many accidents (horrible ones!) happening in our parts lately! 😌
Absolutely not trying to start anything here, but...I spoke to 2 of the firefighter/EMTs that were on the scene today and they told me it was determined the motorcyclist was going in excess of 90mph. Seriously on that stretch of road that separates neighborhoods, that's ridiculous. The girl that pulled in front of him probably, either, did not see him or misjudged his EXTREMELY excessive speed. I'm sad for a life lost, truly I am-especially considering I passed it right after impact, but I cannot help but be angry at all the lives changed because of his actions. The 20 year old girl driving her SUV will never be the same again-ever. How many times do we see motorcyclists (not all of them-don't beat me up) driving like a**holes weaving through traffic??? It's hard enough to stay alive in this crazy traffic, with people not paying attention (texting, eating, or just plain oblivious to the world) without adding a 90mph motorcycle on a 40 or 45 mph road. I'm not lumping every motorcyclist in there-don't get me wrong, but this did not have to happen. Sad.
