Weekend Plans?

watch the World Cup games

defensive shotgun shooting class this afternoon

go with my fam to the movies in the evening... not sure what we're watching yet. Suggestions? my DW doesn't like action movies

tomorrow I have a 3-gun match in the morning...

Didn't realize you were into competition shooting. Nice.
I want to see that movie "Tammy". Looks silly and ridiculous which would be a nice departure from real life about now for me.

Thinking if it's too hot to take a Harley ride. Maybe run over and do some gambling. DH has tossed out the idea of Galleria for shopping - ugh. Sounds like we are nowhere close to thinking the same deep thoughts today.

I hate to shop, except maybe online.

yeah, I don't call myself a competitive shooter... I do these matches mainly to measure and improve my skills (in other words, I've never won anything, but don't want to sound as a loser). I like 3-gun and IDPA pistol matches because the scenarios are possible real-life situations. I have also shoot in my club's "surplus match" which is old military rifles at 100 yds with iron sights.

I don't do the matches all the time... probably 8-10 a year, and mostly during the cold months. But tomorrow's match is to raise funds for a charity. I do, however, shoot pretty much every weekend... late July and all of August is shotgun practice for waterfowl season.

Never heard of the movie Tammy, but will check it out and see if my wife likes it... thanks for the suggestion.

Pretty much everywhere. For local, up to Margaritaville in Shreveport, or over to Lake Charles. We also do Tunica, Biloxi and Vegas pretty regular. (I'll be in Vegas in less than 3 weeks!) We've been getting free flights to Laughlin but haven't given that one a shot yet. Always get comped rooms, meals, shoes and a little playing money so the incentives are nice perks to make we wanna go hear the "ding,ding,ding". DH is more of a crap shooter - not a dinger.

What ???I made plans around you when you said you were making the stuffed bell peppers !I was planning on eating at your place !!! HaHa But I'm working on getting some( fresh) shrimp from La . I know someone who shrimps & sells off the boat or they'll freeze & package for you . We most of the time go to Galveston & then come home & package up 40 lbs which I am tired of doing . With these people I've know her & her family my entire life & know I can trust when they say they are fresh that they will be fresh . Besides I love stopping in Welsh La & eating at Cajun Tails they have the ( BEST ) fried frog legs I have ever eaten in my life !!!!!

I just do not like to gamble. Like at all. Even when the Hard Rock gave me $25 free in the DR - I couldn't bear to spend it.

My husband & I are very big Gamblers !!! HAHAHA We went on a cruise I had $10.00 for the slot machines & he had $10.00 . He lost his all within maybe 30 minutes . I made enough for both of us to play the entire cruise & I came home with $30.00!!!! We just went for dinner each evening & played the slot machines for about 30 minutes or less . Now that was our first time to gamble & no as you can see we are not big gamblers & I feel like you do .I looked at this like if we went to a movie we would spend $20.00. That was 10 yrs ago ,& yes we fly to Vegas for the shows never to gamble . But lots of folks love it .
