What's everyone doing for supper?

She would make jars and jars from the tomatoes from our garden.
Everyone in the family calls me for the recipe thinking she left it to me...to my dismay, she did not.
I have not tasted any like hers and guess shall never again.
I hope they have tomatoes in Heaven....

I am out searching for MooMaw's house - I am sure I can find it. I can smell fried chick a long way off. And tell by how it sounds if it's ready to be turned over.

Crispy Fried Chicken
Black eyed peas picked fresh from the garden this morning with homemade ChowChow
Fresh Green Onions
Hotwater cornbread made in Mamaw's old iron skillet
Summer Squash, Lettuce wedge with a dallop of mayo in a pineapple ring
Peach Cobbler with Homemade Ice Cream that has been packed down on ice on the back porch all afternoon.
All washed down with Sweet Tea.

I've not made fried chicken in ages *the local chickens are too big* and don't really like the fried chicken available around here. Now that I've found some smaller chickens at Guy's Meat Market that have not been injected with all the gunk, I am planning to see if the electric skillet still works!
