^^^You have just insulted millions of federal employees by painting them all with the same brush stroke. Not all federal employees are incompetent and simply don't care because it someone else's money. Have you ever thought to consider the federal employees, along with state and local law enforcement, responsible for keeping major drug cartels from taking over our communities. Additionally, there are the federal employees responsible for food safety, air traffic control, intelligence gathering, arresting major domestic criminals, border security, maintaining our national parks, and protecting select federal officials from possible assassins just to name a few. Have you ever stopped to consider that sometimes it's not incompetence, but rather trying to play within the rules and regulations that constantly change depending upon which way the political winds are blowing?Lastly when people point out they are spending tax payer money, while that's true keep in mind that federal employees are not tax exempt. So they are contributing to the same federal budget as every other citizen and by extension their own salaries too. Think before you type.*Edit* - BTW hundreds of federal employees are terminated every year just like in any other organization.
