In regards to the Cowboys, I don't think Jerry made a mistake at all in this case. In the first place Johnny was not going to potentially be the starter for a couple of years. Even after riding the bench to learn there's no guarantee that his skills would necessarily translate to the NFL. Johnny is short and under weight by league standards. So Jerry finally did something we Cowboys fans have been screaming about for years. He drafted for need as opposed to drafting to make a splash. The last two individuals the fan base wanted to stay in Texas, Vince Young and Reggie Bush didn't turn out to be the savior of their franchises after-all.

Besides if the Cowboys had picked JM it would have been a media circus. If we want to contend for the playoffs the team doesn't need that type of distraction. I think he's a better fit for the Browns. Their fans have had absolutely nothing to cheer about for decades.

save this post folks... Cowboys will have a better record than Texans this season. Sorry.

Hey, I would love to the the Texas win... but Ryan Fitzpatrick? Gotta be kidding... and this O'Brian fellow... McNair should have gotten a proven NFL winner... not an unproven head coach with some potential.

Houston better be 4-0 by the time they go to Dallas... otherwise it will be another long & disappointing season again...

I agree the Cowboys will absolutely have a better record (damn @traxla here we go agreeing again). I love it when Houston fans talk about the fact the Cowboys haven't won a SB in recent history. My response to that is at least we have a history to speak of.

There were several opportunities for us to experience an all Texas SB in the 70s and 90s. The Cowboys did their part. What happened to the Houston teams? Oh yes they were home talking about we knocked on the door, kicked on the door, beat on the door, rang the door bell, hit it with an axe, used dynamite..... Emoticon

As an infamous New Orleans Saints coach once said - playoffs? you're talking to me about playoffs!!? We're speaking of SB championships and you bring up playoffs!!?

I will now paraphrase you - pfffffffffffffftt

As a big fan of both teams...I see the Texans making a very significant improvement over last year. The Cowboys on the other hand will not...especially if Romo is not healthy, and a good chance he will not.
