We got a call today about our girl! The people who took her from Walmart called. They drove her up to Memphis that Sunday and gave her to their son. Trying to figure out how to get her home. Very frustrating but at least we're getting our baby back!

@binkykisses:

I hope ( for your sake) it's true... but sounds kind of fishy to me. I mean, who does that????

They sent us a picture. I think what happen was they found out some how, that we were serious about finding her. When we got the call from a Walmart employee about the lady who took her, I was under the impression that one of the employees may have know her. Once we found out about about happen we went to the police station and filed a thief report. The detective assigned to our case was very serious about figuring out what happen. He had Walmart pull the security tapes from that weekend and they've been reviewing them. Which according to them the system Walmart has is so good you can see what someone is typing on their phone at the end of the parking lot. These. People got back from Memphis yesterday and probably went to Walmart saw or huge signs and found out by a Walmart employee that we filed a case. That's why I think their giving her back, since they obviously had no intention of trying to locate her owns. It's been a crazy ride but I'm glad we're going to have them back soon.

So someone stole your dog, then drove like 20 hours round trip to take it to someone in Memphis, then returned to the scene of the crime where they discovered signs that you filed a police report on your dog, then took a picture of the dog and sent it to you before promising to return it? From Memphis again?

And WalMart's surveillance system can capture what someone is typing on their phone across the parking lot?

Huh.

That is great that you are getting both of your babies back! You are so incredibly lucky to get the police and Walmart to work together so quickly! I couldn't even get the cops to make a phone call when my daughter ran away last summer!

This ended up being hard then I expected. The tapes were never pulled, the family wants travel money to get her from their son in Memphis, the son won't take her vet for scan so we can confirm she's there and police aren't helping much, just making phone calls. So frustrating!

It's been a long day of phones calls. The detective handing our case spoke with their son in Memphis and got him to surrender her to a local vet. Thank god! All this is too crazy. She's being shipped back to us through home again. We just have to pay vet fee and for a cage. For anyone with microchipped animals, I highly recommend home again. No mater who your animal is chipped through, you can call them and transfer. It costs 18 per year to get insurance with them. If your pets is found 500 miles or more from your house they cover up to 500 travel, but they have to make the arrangements. This travel is costing us nothing! So worth it. So happy she's coming home, but she was brought I with a mild leg injury.
